Mountain Hawks to Head to Loyola for Saturday Night Matchup

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Lehigh women's basketball team will head to Baltimore, Md., on Saturday for a 5 p.m. matchup with Loyola, where the Mountain Hawks will look for a season sweep of the Greyhounds.Â
Lehigh needed five minutes of overtime to secure the win over Loyola on Jan. 18. The Mountain Hawks exploded in overtime, scoring 19 points in the final five minutes. Mackenzie Kramer was clutch down the stretch, hitting the game-tying shot to force overtime.Â
Kramer and Hottinger are both nearing the 1,000 point mark. Kramer needs just 12 more points, while Hottinger needs 15. Hottinger and Kramer both continue to lead the league in scoring. Hottinger sits at the top of the league. The senior is averaging 21.0 points per game, while Kramer is averaging 16.2 points per game and is second in the league in scoring.Â
Loyola is led by Lex Therien and Taleah Dixon. Therien is averaging 14.7 points. She had a career-high game against Lehigh in the first meeting, recording 28 points.Â

Kramer and Hottinger aren't the only ones chasing 1,000 points this weekend. Dixon is just 13 more points from hitting the mark as well. She is putting up 13.8 points per game.Â
The Greyhounds have struggled recently.. They sit in ninth place in the Patriot League with a 2-10 record. Loyola is on a nine-game losing streak.Â
Lehigh is coming off of a loss to Colgate. The Mountain Hawks, who typically average 9.8 made three-pointers per game, were held to just two made three-pointers.
Kramer netted a game-high of 19 points in that game, while Hottinger had 18.Â
Senior Anna Harvey continues to lead the league in assists. She is averaging 4.04 assists per game.Â
Lehigh is 17-7 against Loyola all-time, having won the last eight matchups. The last time the Mountain Hawks were defeated in Baltimore was on Jan. 24. 2018.Â
Lehigh will hit the road again when the Mountain Hawks take on Navy on Feb. 15 with a 7 p.m. matchup with the Midshipmen.Â
