BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Lehigh women's soccer team earned the fifth seed in the Patriot League Tournament following a 2-1 loss to Bucknell on Wednesday night.
Â
Graduate student Ryelle Shuey connected with a corner kick from senior Alex Odle to tally her team-leading fifth goal of the season. Odle earned her second assist this season on the feed.Â
Â
The teams battled through a scoreless first half with each side putting up three shots. Bucknell's Teresa Deda nearly put one in the net in the 43rd minute but the shot ricocheted off the crossbar.Â
Â
Early into the second half, Shuey struck in the 50th minute to give Lehigh a 1-0 lead over the Bison. The graduate student put a header past the Bucknell defense to put the Mountain Hawks on the board.
Â
In the 55th minute, Deda put a shot on frame that first-year goalkeeper R'Reeyah Mabry-Francis made an initial save on but teammate Henna Andican put the rebound in to even the score 1-1.
Â
The game-winner came in the 72nd minute in similar fashion, with Riley Hayes putting away the rebound this time from Deda's initial shot.
Â
The Mountain Hawks battled to the end with junior Faith Dobosiewicz putting a shot on net from nearly 50 yards out, but the Bison held on to secure the 2-1 win.

Mabry-Francis earned her first collegiate start, making four saves. Bucknell goalkeeper Jenna Hall picked up seven saves.
Â
Lehigh (7-5-4, 4-4-1 PL) will be the No. 5 seed in the Patriot League Tournament beginning with a quarterfinal on Sunday. The Mountain Hawks head to Boston to face the Terriers at 1 p.m.
