Lehigh Falls To Villanova In Home Opener

Villanova (1-0-1) got the scoring started quickly, netting goals in the fourth, fifth, and ninth minutes of the game. First-year Sofia Bollman gave Lehigh (0-2) a chance with a shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but a save from goalkeeper Hannah Dickinson kept the score 3-0 in favor of the Wildcats at half. The Wildcats continued their offensive output in the second half, scoring six goals to bring their advantage to nine at the final whistle.
Bollman and Elliot Forney recorded shots for the Mountain Hawks while goalkeeper Chloe Zipprich made three saves.
The Mountain Hawks will be back in action on Sunday, August 23 at 1 p.m. at home against NJIT.
