Lehigh Defeats Seton Hall in Last Home Meet of the Season

BETHLEHEM, Pa. In the last home meet of the season, Lehigh women's swimming and diving shined, defeating Seton Hall 122-119 Friday night.
"It was a great team effort," said head coach Rob Herb. "This group of girls really seems to have it together. I love working with this group. They showed lots of heart. Divers were the stars of the meet."
Lehigh had six first-place finishes to lead them to a victory Friday night over the Pirates.Â
Sarah Gill won the three-meter dive with a score of 219.75. Sydney Izakson finished right behind Gill, totaling 209.85 points. Gill also won the one-meter dive, finishing with 244.35 points.
Izakson also picked up three points in the one-meter dive (201.75).Â
Senior Sarah Hardy continued her impressive performance. She set a pool record in the 200 IM (2:05.84). Hardy also won the 100-yard butterfly (55.93).Â
Caitlin Deitch won the 50-yard freestyle (24.57)
Danielle Prekop was the other Lehigh swimmer to finish in first. Prekop won the 100-yard backstroke. Prekop was also on the 200-yard medley relay with Hallie Wilson, Julie Stevens, and Noel Fresa, that took home second place (1:48.46)
The Mountain Hawks improved to 5-2 and closed up their non-league slate with a win.This was the first-ever meeting between Lehigh and Seton Hall.Â
Lehigh will look to continue its winning ways when the Mountain Hawks take on Bucknell on Jan. 21 in Lewisburg.
