Mountain Hawks Fall to Colgate In Close Battle

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The women's tennis team battled Colgate at Lewis Tennis Center but were unable to hold on in the end. The Mountain Hawks fell to the Raiders 4-3 on Sunday. 

Lehigh got off to a slow start, winning one doubles match. Sophomores Anushka and Megha Dania defeated Colgate's Emme Levenson and Rebecca Wolf 7-6, 6-3 at the No. 2 spot. 

The Mountain Hawks were down 1-0 going into singles play and fought until the end to get the win. Anushka Dania got Lehigh on the board during singles play, beating Wolf 6-1, 7-5 at the No. 4 spot. Junior Junmoke James picked up Lehigh's second win of the day against Colgate, defeating Emme Levenson 6-3, 7-5. 

Megha Dania picked up the Mountain Hawks' third win during singles play, defeating Jordan Ben-Shmuel 7-5 (6), 7-5 (3). 

Lehigh will travel to Bucknell to take on the Bison on Saturday April 2 at 2 p.m. The Mountain Hawks will return home to host Lafayette in the Rivalry Presented by Lehigh Valley Orthopedic Institute at 11 a.m. on Sunday, April 3.
