Mountain Hawks Topped By Bucknell In First Match Of The Weekend

LEWISBURG, Pa. - The women's tennis team dropped a tough one Saturday afternoon in Lewisburg, falling to Bucknell 6-1. 

The Mountain Hawks got off on the right foot during doubles play, securing a win early in the match. Sophomores Anushka and Megha Dania defeated Bucknell's Anna Lajos and Madi Sebulsky at the No. 2 spot 6-2. Bucknell picked up a win at the top doubles flight and added a default victory at No. 3 to claim the doubles point.

Lehigh was unable to get into a rhythm on Saturday against the Bison, securing a singular win during singles play. Junior Junmoke James kept her winning streak alive, defeating Tyne Miller 4-6, 6-2, 10-6 in the second flight. James won her fifth consecutive singles match while securing her sixth win of the season. 

The Mountain Hawks will return to Bethlehem to host Lafayette in the Rivalry presented by Lehigh Valley Orthopedic Institute. The match will begin Sunday at 11 a.m. at the Lewis Tennis Center.
