Three Mountain Hawks Named Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholars By GCAA

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Three members of the Lehigh men's golf team were recognized as Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-American Scholars for the 2020-21 season by the Golf Coaches Association of America. Fifth-year Owen Quinn earned Scholar All-America honors for the third consecutive season and was joined by sophomores Sam Barton and Joey Dotta.
To be eligible for the Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar team at the Division I level, an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior academically, participate in 40 percent of his team's competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 76.0 and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2.
Quinn finished his Lehigh career as a three-time Academic All-Patriot League honoree and a five-time member of the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll. He posted a 4.0 GPA in the spring working on his graduate degree in technical entrepreneurship.
On the course, Quinn manned the No. 1 spot in Lehigh's lineup for most of his final four seasons and posted a 75.67 scoring average in the spring.
Barton was Lehigh's top performer on the course in the 2021 season, earning first team All-Patriot League honors after tying for third place at the Patriot League Championship. He led the Mountain Hawks with a 73.4 scoring average and owns a 3.72 grade point average as a finance major.
Dotta is a journalism major with a 3.50 GPA. He posted a 75.89 scoring average. Like Quinn and Barton, Dotta played in all nine competitive stroke play rounds during the spring and the Presidents' Cup matches against Lafayette. He finished in the top 10 at Lafayette's Invitational in April.
