BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Following a five-goal, one-assist performance in Sunday's 15-10 win at Colgate, Lehigh men's lacrosse junior Tommy Schelling has been named Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week, as announced on Monday. Schelling recorded three points in each half as the Mountain Hawks used a 10-2 second-half run to break a 5-5 tie and pull away.
Â
The Patriot League weekly award marks the first of Schelling's career. On Sunday, he scored a big goal with 21 seconds left in the second quarter which was sandwiched in between what would have been five straight Colgate goals (if he hadn't scored).
Â
For the season, Schelling leads the Mountain Hawks in goals (10), assists (13) and points (23).
Â
No. 10 Lehigh returns home on Saturday to host No. 7 Army West Point in a crucial Patriot League matchup.
