Lehigh Women Finish Fall Season With Winning Weekend At West Point

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Lehigh women's tennis team closed out the fall season at Army's West Point Invite, which wrapped up on Sunday. The Mountain Hawks competed against five different schools in parts of hidden duals with mostly positive results.
Lehigh was especially strong on Saturday as the Mountain Hawks went 11-2 in singles action on the day against Fairfield and Marist and swept three doubles matches against St. Bonaventure.
Sunday's final day saw the Mountain Hawks go 2-4 in doubles against Sacred Heart and Army West Point. Overall, Lehigh went 5-4 in doubles on the weekend.
Senior Anshika Singh and sophomore Megha Dania were unbeaten on the weekend. Singh and Dania teamed to go 3-0 in doubles, while Dania was 2-0 in singles and Singh posted a singles win against Fairfield on Saturday.
Sophomore Rachel Buchinsky and freshmen Hamsa Javagal and Allyce Gaborik all went 2-0 in doubles action. Buchinsky teamed with junior Ella Imhof for a doubles victory against St. Bonaventure.
Lehigh will now begin preparations for the spring season, which will begin in February.
