"Today I saw a focused and consistent effort from everyone," said head coach Wouter Hendrix. "We went with three freshmen in our lineup, and it was great to see them all come away with their first collegiate wins."

It was a clean sweep from top to bottom for the Mountain Hawks against Stevens. Starting in doubles play, the pair of sophomore Harry Wang and freshman Zack Elliot won 7-5 but had to win the tiebreaker 7-5 to secure the win at the No. 1 doubles flight.

Moving up to play No. 1 singles was Elliot, who defeated his Stevens counterpart in two sets, 6-2, 6-1.

Martin-Dyer also won in two sets, winning 6-1, 6-3 at the No. 2 singles flight.

Freshman Gary Fishkin was yet another Mountain Hawk to win in two sets, winning 6-1 in the first set, he would have to win the tiebreaker 7-5 to win the second set 7-6.

Born took care of business in two sets, 6-2 and 6-3 while Nakhjavan was pushed to a third set where he won the first set 6-4 and third set 10-1 while dropping the second set 4-6.

Senior Sam Bencheghib round out the action with a two-set victory, 6-2, 6-2, in the No. 6 singles flight.
