BETHLEHEM, Pa. – In their final tune-up before next weekend's Patriot League Championships, the Lehigh women's track and field team is set to host the Lehigh Games this weekend at Goodman Campus. Lehigh will also have several athletes taking part at the Penn Relays Thursday through Saturday.
Lehigh Games - Participating Teams:
Delaware Valley, DeSales, Dominican (N.Y.), East Stroudsburg, Eastern, Keystone, Lehigh, Loyola (Md.), Monmouth, Moravian, Muhlenberg, Rowan, Scranton and Saint Joseph's.
The unscored Lehigh Games will get underway on Friday afternoon with the hammer throw and javelin at 3:30 p.m. with all other events taking place throughout Saturday at Lehigh's Goodman Campus Track. All field events on Saturday will begin between 10 a.m. and noon, with the women's 5,000m kicking off the track events at 11 a.m. Live results will be available at mitchelltiming.com. Following the final event of the meet at approximately 4:30 p.m., Lehigh will hold a ceremony to honor the members of the senior class of 2018.
Penn Relays
Lehigh will be busy on Thursday's first day of competition at Franklin Field in Philadelphia, as 20 athletes will compete in eight events throughout the day. Brittany Curtin and Amanda Youngblood will compete in both the discus at 9 a.m. and the shot put at 12:45 p.m. LU will have representatives in three different events at 10 a.m. including Noreen Byrne in the 400m hurdles, Olivia Reinold, Tyler Bannister and Jordan Otto in the high jump, and Kaitlyn Toman and Madisyn Hawkins will compete in the pole vault.
In addition to the shot put, Lehigh will compete in three different events on Thursday afternoon with the 4x100 relay team of Morgan McConnell, Liyala Dickens, Brett DeWeese and Iman Mosley starting at 1:20. Curtin, Maggie Tarmey and Paige Grossman will follow in the hammer at 2:30, and the quartet of Sophie Antonioli, Kristen Lavallee, Mary Casey and Hannah Bonaguidi will race in the DMR Championship of America at 5:30.
In the evening, the 4x400 relay team featuring Brooke Schaeffer, Morgan McConnell, Alexis Smith and Byrne will race at 6:25. The day will conclude at 8:35 p.m. with Ashleigh Crawford and Maura Henderson running in the 3K.
The Brown and White will have one remaining event during the day on Friday when Brianna Wanbaugh and Hannah Patrick will throw the javelin at 4:45 p.m.

Lehigh is coming off a solid showing at three different meets last weekend, highlighted by Crawford's sixth place showing in the steeplechase at the Larry Ellis Invitational. Her time of 10:28.77 ranks as the fastest time in the Patriot League this season by 16.47 seconds. The mark also ranks 37th in the NCAA East Region and 68th overall in the nation. Schaeffer turned in a time of 2:11.31 at the Larry Ellis Invitational in the 800m run, which ranks fourth in the PL this season, and Byrne's time of 1:03.22 sits seventh in the PL.
