
Lehigh Caps Regular Season with Comeback Win

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Lehigh closed out the regular season and completed the weekend with a 2-0 record following a 4-3 comeback victory at Saint Joseph's. The Mountain Hawks finish the regular season with a 12-8 record, while the Hawks capped their regular season with an overall record of 7-13.
Lehigh began the match by sweeping all three doubles matches for the second time on the weekend.
Saint Joseph's erased the early deficit and went to win the first three singles points, but Lehigh came roaring back and won the remaining three singles matches to pull off the come-from-behind victory.
Jacob Edelchik started the comeback bid with his three-set victory at the third flight over Peter DeWitt. The freshman ends his rookie regular season with double-digit wins with a record of 10-8 and heads into the postseason on a three-match win streak.
Jack Petersen came through with a big victory three-set victory over Andre Fick at the second flight to tie the match, 3-3. The senior has been the hottest player on the team as of late. He extended his win streak to six in a row as he is now 11-8 overall.
Bryant Born notched Lehigh' third-straight three-set victory and completed the epic comeback. Born has also been heating up as he has won five-straight matches to improve his record to 11-7 on the season.
Lehigh is in line for either a third or fourth seed heading into the Patriot League Championship, which will set the Mountain Hawks up with a quarterfinal round match on Friday.
