BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Coming off the program's first no-hitter since 2015, the Lehigh baseball team will resume its home stand this weekend when the Mountain Hawks host defending Patriot League Champion, Holy Cross. The three-game series will kick off on Saturday with a doubleheader starting at 12 p.m. and conclude with an Easter Sunday matinee also starting at 12 p.m.

On Wednesday, the Mountain Hawks christened newly dedicated J. David Walker Field at Legacy Park with a 14-0 combined no-hitter against Saint Peter's. The freshmen duo of Peter Woltersdorf and Matt Svanson combined for nine strikeouts and nine innings to complete the historic feat. The two pitchers also did not allow a ball out of the infield and did not allow the Peacocks to advance a runner to second base the entire game.

At the plate, senior Chris Kersey led the way offensively with a career-high five hits and a career-high three RBI in a 5-for-5 performance, while he finished a home run shy of the cycle. Matt Hand chipped in with a 2-for-3 effort including two doubles, while setting career-highs with two runs scored and three RBIs.

Winners of two-straight, the Mountain Hawks (11-12, 1-2 Patriot) will look to carry their momentum into the weekend and gain ground in the Patriot League standings. Kersey ranks sixth in the Patriot League in batting average as he his hitting .337. James Bleming sits in third in RBIs with 19 and fourth in homers with two this season. On the mound, Jason Reynolds (2-2) is tied for sixth in the league with 29 strikeouts on the year, while Levi Stoudt (2-4) and Peter Moore (2-3) are tied for seventh with 28 strikeouts. Stoudt is fourth with a 2.56 ERA among pitchers who have tossed at least 20.0 innings.

The Crusaders enter the weekend at 7-11 overall and 2-2 in the Patriot League play. Holy Cross split a pair of two-game sets with Navy and Bucknell to open up league play last weekend. The Crusaders' hitting is anchored by Austin Masel, who ranks first in the Patriot League in homers with four and Cam O'Neill who sits in third in homers with three. Holy Cross's top three starters, Pat McGowan (1-2), Declan Cronin (1-2) and Garret Keough (0-3) have combined for two wins this season in a total of 13 starts. McGowan leads the trio with a 2.25 ERA in a team-high 28.1 innings pitched.

Holy Cross leads the all-time series 62-54, including winning three out of four in last season's series.

Following Holy Cross, the Mountain Hawks will return to action on Tuesday for a Liberty Bell Classic semifinal round matchup with defending CAA Champion, Delaware. First pitch set for 3 p.m.
