ON COACH LEARY
Coach Leary is one of the main reasons I came to Lehigh because of the way he develops student-athletes on and off the field.
2018 (SENIOR SEASON)
Made 13 appearances, including 11 starts as one of the top-three arms in the rotation…ranked eighth in the Patriot League with a .244 opponent batting average…ranked second on the team in wins (4) and in strikeouts, while ranking third in innings pitched (54.2)…tossed a season-high 8.2 innings with a season-high nine strikeouts in a scoreless relief outing to earn the win against Bucknell (4/29) in his final appearance at home.
2017 (JUNIOR SEASON)
Began the season as a starter before transitioning into a relief role midway through the season…earned a save in a 10-2 win over Bucknell (4/1) as he tossed 3.2 scoreless innings with a season-high five strikeouts and one walk…was the winning pitcher in a 10-3 victory against Saint Peter’s (3/30) as he threw 1.2 scoreless innings in relief without surrendering a hit and recorded two strikeouts.
Â
2016 (SOPHOMORE SEASON)
Put together a strong sophomore season while moving into a starting weekend roll as the season progressed…finished the season with a team-best 46 strikeouts and six wins, along with an opposing batting average of .193 that ranked second best in the Patriot League and a mark of 6.29 hits per nine innings that ranked 24th in the nation…had the most success in Patriot League play, going 3-0 in four appearances and two starts with a 2.05 ERA and 18 strikeouts in 26.1 innings thrown against league opponents…threw 8.0 innings of one-run, three-hit ball with eight strikeouts to earn the win in game two at Army (4/30)…picked up a victory after a 7.1 inning outing against Lafayette (4/23) to help Lehigh to a four-game sweep of the rival Leopards…also earned a league victory at Navy (4/16) after surrendering just one unearned run on three hits in 6.0 frames…struck out a season-best 10 batters against Saint Peter’s (3/30).
2015 (FRESHMAN SEASON)
Made eight appearances, including seven starts…finished the season with 29 strikeouts in 26.2 innings…allowed just one run on one hit with a career-best eight strikeouts in five innings against Rider…helped Lehigh to a league win over Army after throwing 5.1 two-run innings.
