BETHLEHEM, Pa. – After playing seven of its last eight games on the road, the Lehigh field hockey team will return home for its final four home games of the regular season beginning on Saturday. The Mountain Hawks will welcome Patriot League foe Holy Cross Saturday at 11 a.m. before welcoming Cornell on Monday at 6 p.m. Saturday's game will be streamed live online through the Patriot League Network.

Lehigh is coming off a tough weekend, falling at a pair of talented teams in American and Georgetown. One highlight was the team's offense, which scored a goal in each game. On Saturday, sophomore Anna Lehman scored a second-half goal, marking Lehigh's first goal vs. American since 2012 and giving Lehigh its first goal against the Eagles in 356:03 of action. It was Lehman's second Patriot League goal of the season (also at Lafayette). As a team, the Mountain Hawks have consistently scored this season, with at least one goal in eight of 11 games after being shut-out eight times last season. Lehigh scored for the first time at American since 2009 while scoring in each of its first three Patriot League games for the first time since 2013.

The Mountain Hawks continue to impress on penalty corners, scoring another goal off a corner on Sunday at Georgetown, this time scored by freshman Olivia Perrone.

Holy Cross is 1-9 on the year, 1-1 in Patriot League play, coming off its first win of the season. Most recently, the Crusaders earned a 4-0 win at Colgate, led by three goals from Emily Loprete, who was named Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week. Loprete leads Holy Cross in goals (7) and points (14) while Madeline Alderfer is second with four points (one goal, two assists). Marcia LaPlante has started every minute in goal, tallying a 4.01 goals against average and 0.766 save percentage, tops in the Patriot League.

The Crusaders lead the all-time series, 18-11. Last season, Holy Cross won 5-1 to snap a three-game Lehigh win streak in the series. The Mountain Hawks have won the last two home meetings, 4-1 in 2014 and 1-0 in 2016.

Cornell is 2-7 on the season heading into an Ivy League showdown with Yale on Friday. The Big Red wins have come against Rider and Colgate, each by 3-1 finals. Maddy Conklin leads Cornell in goals (3) and points (6) while Kirsten Pienaar has five points (two goals, one assist) and Claire Jones owns four (two goals). Maddie Henry has started all but one game in goal, tallying a 2.59 GAA and 0.730 save percentage.

Cornell leads the all-time series with Lehigh, 24-1-1. Lehigh's only win came in 1993 by a 2-1 final before tying the following season, 1-1. The Big Red have won each of the last two seasons by identical 4-0 finals.

Following Monday's game, Lehigh returns home the following weekend to host Colgate on Saturday, Oct. 13 and Rider on Sunday, Oct. 14.
