FAIRFIELD, Conn. - Lehigh finished off its two-game weekend with a 5-0 loss to Fairfield on Sunday in Fairfield, Conn.

The Stags kicked off scoring almost immediately, taking a 1-0 lead 43 seconds into the contest.

Maintaining momentum, Fairfield struck again at 4:29 to hold a 2-0 advantage.

The Stags weren't finished in the first quarter, as they capitalized on a penalty corner at 9:47 to extend their lead to 3-0.

The 3-0 carried through halftime into the fourth quarter, when the Stags tallied a fourth goal 49 seconds into period to take a 4-0 lead.

Shortly after, Fairfield was awarded a penalty stroke opportunity. Junior goalkeeper Kate Burgess made a big stop for the Mountain Hawks.

Fairfield solidified its victory with a fifth goal in the final minutes, securing the 5-0 victory over Lehigh.

Burgess recorded a career-high 13 saves. First-year Lily Burnside made her first appearance as a Mountain Hawk, making two saves. Fairfield's Payton Rahn recorded six saves.
