Lehigh Concludes Fall Season With ITA Regionals

NEW HAVEN, Conn – The Lehigh women's tennis team concluded their fall schedule as Sibel Can and Paula Gonzalez competed in the ITA regionals at Yale University this weekend.
Can and Gonzalez paired up for doubles but were defeated in a close 8-6 match against Curnic and Kowalska of Penn.
In singles, Gonzalez battled with Army's No. 1 singles player, which resulted in a three-hour battle of attrition. After winning the first set 7-5, Gonzalez lost a close second set 7-5 before dropping the third set 6-2.
With the conclusion of the fall portion of their schedule, Lehigh will focus its attention on preparing for the regular season. The Mountain Hawks kick off the season with a visit from Villanova on Saturday, February 9 as the Wildcats come to the Lewis Tennis Center.
