Thompson and Miles Will Represent Lehigh at Winter Nationals

TIME STANDARDS
BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh swimmers Meghan Thompson and Payton Miles will represent the Brown and White at the 2017 U.S. Winter National Championships after meeting the official time standards which were recently released by USA Swimming.
Thompson will compete in the 1650 freestyle after she earned a qualifying time of 16:32.57 at the 2017 Patriot League Championships. Thompson's time topped the charts as she was crowned champion at the league championships last winter and also set a new Lehigh record in the process.
Miles also posted her qualifying mark at last season's Patriot League Championships. The sprinter won the league's 50 freestyle title a blistering pace of 20.80 and also rewrote the Lehigh record board.
 The Patriot League champion duo will be making their first appearances at the U.S. Winter National Championships. They join a list of six other Lehigh women who have qualified for the event. In total, 14 different Mountain Hawks have represented Lehigh at the Winter Nationals since 2011.
The 2017 U.S. Winter National Championships will hosted by Ohio State University from November 29 through December 2.
