Lehigh and Bucknell squared off on Friday in the regular season finale for both sides. The teams traded goals in the early going as sophomore Kellie Gough led the Mountain Hawks' charge with the team's first two scores. She finished the game with a career-high three goals, all coming in the first half. After Bucknell evened the score at three with 7:15 left in the first, Lehigh went on to score three straight goals in a 1:08 span, while adding another in the final minute to take a 7-3 halftime advantage. The Mountain Hawks eventually extended their run to 9-0 as senior Allison LaBeau scored her third of the game with 5:51 remaining to give Lehigh a 12-3 lead, on the way to the 12-4 victory.

LaBeau finished with three goals and two assists to reach 244 career points and move into 10th place in Patriot League history in career scoring. Senior Lauren Beausoleil added her first hat trick of the season as well; her third goal of the game came with 6:59 remaining, marking her 100th-career point. Sophomore Courtney Henig had a big day with two goals and a game-high three assists.

Lehigh's defense stood tall, holding Bucknell to a season-low tying four goals. The Mountain Hawks held the Bison scoreless for a stretch of 35:06 from the end of the first half until the end of the second. Along with her three goals, Beausoleil tallied a game-high five draw controls, a groundball and two caused turnovers. Gough had two groundballs and two caused turnovers as well, rounding out her big day. Senior Taylor Tvedt was strong in between the pipes, making 11 saves (nine coming in the first half). Tvedt helped Lehigh take a 7-3 halftime advantage despite Bucknell holding a 16-9 edge in shots.

The win was Lehigh's 11th of the season and sixth in Patriot League play, tying a school record (set last season) for most league victories. The Mountain Hawks are currently 24-10 since the beginning of 2016 as the 24 wins over a two-year stretch are tied for fourth most in any two-year stretch in school history. Lehigh is set to face Bucknell in the Patriot League Tournament for the first time in program history.

Bucknell has reached its second straight Patriot League Tournament, finishing the regular season 9-7 and 4-5 in league play. Audrey Walsh is tied for the team lead with 45 points (26 goals, 19 assists) while Christina Manis also has 45 points via 11 goals and 34 assists. Maddy Molinari owns 42 points via a team-leading 36 goals and six assists. Molinari leads the team with 80 draw controls, Katherine Doyle owns a team-leading 34 groundballs while Annie Gilbertson leads the way with 32 caused turnovers. Jamie DeWitt has started all but one game in goal, recording a 9.84 goals against average and .437 save percentage.

Lehigh has won eight straight games against Bucknell to take a 29-12 lead in the all-time series. The Bison's last victory in the series came on Mar. 7, 2009, a 12-11 double overtime win at Lehigh. The Mountain Hawks responded with wins of 13-2 and 19-2 in 2010 and 2011, respectively. Last season, Lehigh edged Bucknell by a slim 12-11 final in the regular season finale before earning an impressive 12-4 win at Bucknell just a few days ago. The sides first met in 1976, an 11-10 Lehigh victory. Bucknell won the following season, but Lehigh responded with 19 straight wins from 1978-96.

If the Mountain Hawks win on Tuesday, they would advance to the Patriot League Semifinals for the second straight season and face second-seeded Navy on Friday at 7:45 p.m. at Loyola's Ridley Athletic Complex.

The third-seeded Mountain Hawks will now play in their fourth straight Patriot League Tournament on Tuesday when they host No. 6 seed Bucknell on Tuesday at 7 p.m. Tickets are now available and can be purchased, here.
