BETHLEHEM, Pa. – After posting 13 points over two games last week, Lehigh women's lacrosse senior Allison LaBeau has been named Patriot League Attacker of the Week, as announced on Monday. The weekly award marks her second of the season and seventh of her career, also winning Attacker of the Week three times last season, Offensive Player of the Week once as a sophomore and Rookie of the Week once as a freshman.
Â
LaBeau finished the two games with five goals and eight assists, eclipsing five points for her seventh and eighth consecutive contests. She began with four goals and three assists in a dominant 20-11 win at Lafayette Wednesday. Her seven points tied a season high, while the hat trick was the 25th of her career. LaBeau tallied three goals and two assists in the first half alone, helping the Mountain Hawks take a 15-5 halftime advantage.
Â
LaBeau then had a goal and career-high tying five assists vs. Colgate Saturday, having a hand in six of Lehigh's eight goals on the afternoon. Four of the assists were to senior classmate Julianne D'Orazio. With LaBeau's first assist of the game, she became Lehigh's single-season assist record holder, breaking her mark of 34 set last season. LaBeau is now up to 39 assists on the season and school-record 96 assists in her career, which is also tied for fourth in Patriot League history. Her 39 assists this season are seventh in league history. For the season, LaBeau is up to 73 points behind 34 goals and 39 assists. She has posted at least one point in 33 straight games, since the beginning of her junior season.
Â
D'Orazio also garnered honorable mention recognition on Monday after tallying 10 goals, eight draw controls, five caused turnovers and four groundballs. She scored a career-high six goals at Lafayette, eclipsing 50 career goals in the process.
