Lehigh Women Host Villanova in Midweek Dual

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Following a pair of matches in California over spring break, the Lehigh women's tennis team will return home for a match against Villanova on Wednesday. The match is set to start at 4 p.m. and will be played indoors at the Lewis Tennis Center. Lehigh will come into the match looking to improve on a 3-5 record.
The California matches — against Azusa Pacific and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps — were Lehigh's first matches on the road after starting the season with six-straight matches at home. Lehigh lost both of the matches in California, 7-2.
Azusa Pacific swept the doubles matches and won four of six singles matches to pick up the win. Sibel Can and Jamie Campisi were the two wins for the Mountain Hawks in singles competition. Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, the fifth-ranked team in Division III, won two of three doubles matches and five of six singles matches. The duo of Cassidy Cruz and Grace Lin was Lehigh's win in doubles and Christina Auyeung won her singles match at the No. 1 flight.
Auyeung enters the match with Villanova with the best singles record on the team at 5-3. She's also part of the doubles pairing with the best record at Lehigh — a 3-4 mark with Campisi at No. 1 doubles. Villanova is 0-12 this season, most recently losing 7-0 to Delaware. Villanova defeated Lehigh last year, 4-3.
Following this match, Lehigh will face Navy on Saturday at the Lewis Tennis Center at 10 a.m.
