Lehigh Heads to Bucknell Tune-Up for Final Meet Before PLC

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh women's track and field program will head out to Bucknell on Friday evening for their final meet before next weekend's Patriot League Championships. The Mountain Hawks will be one of five teams competing in the one-day event along with Bucknell, Shippensburg, Bloomsburg and Seton Hill.
The meet will start up at 5 p.m. with several field events before the track events start rolling at 6 p.m. with the trials of the men's and women's 60m hurdles. The last scheduled event of the meet will be the women's 4x400 relay at 9:45 p.m. Live results will be available.
The Mountain Hawks are coming off a historic weekend at the Armory Track and Villanova Invitationals last weekend, where sophomores Maura Henderson and Kaitlyn Toman broke school records in the 5K and pole vault, respectively. Senior Courtney Avery won the high jump at Villanova and Katie Hatler qualified for the semifinals of the 60m hurdles. Henderson's performance earned her Patriot League Track Athlete of the Week honors for the third time this season.
The Lehigh women have won seven weekly awards from the Patriot League so far this season, with Henderson winning Track Athlete of the Week honors three times and Toman winning the Field Athlete of the Week after her performance at the Lafayette dual. Avery has won a pair of Field Athlete awards, and Brooke Schaeffer has earned one Rookie of the Week honor. In total, the men's and women's teams have combined for 15 weekly awards, which are the most of any Patriot League school this year.
