BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Coming off an impressive 13-6 Patriot League Quarterfinal win over Colgate, the fourth-seeded Lehigh women's lacrosse team will head to top seed Loyola on Friday for its first seminal appearance since 2011. Opening draw is set for 5 p.m. on the Patriot League Network, followed by No. 2 Navy vs. No. 3 Boston University at 7:40 p.m. Both semifinal games and Sunday's championship game will be played at Loyola's Ridley Athletic Complex. The winner of Lehigh and Loyola will face the Midshipmen or Terriers on Sunday at 12 p.m. in the Patriot League Title Game.

On Tuesday, Lehigh earned its first postseason win since 2010 as the Mountain Hawks used a 5-0 run to open a 6-1 first-half lead and Colgate couldn't pull any closer than three the rest of the way. Junior Lauren Beausoleil led the offense with a career-high seven points behind four goals and a career-high three assists. Over her last two games, she's now posted nine goals and three assists. Beausoleil scored twice in Lehigh's five-goal run, beginning the run at the 21:19 mark to give the Mountain Hawks a 2-1 lead. Just under 10 minutes later, Beausoleil's second goal of the game gave Lehigh a 6-1 advantage with 12:27 left in the first half.

Junior and Patriot League Attacker of the Year Allison LaBeau posted five points behind three goals and two assists to reach 76 points on the season (44 goals, 32 assists). Classmate Julianne D'Orazio also tallied a hat trick, the first of her career, while adding four groundballs and two caused turnovers. Lehigh's three hat tricks tied a season high; the Mountain Hawks also had three hat tricks against Iona.

Junior Taylor Tvedt was strong in goal, making nine saves while allowing just six goals, the 11th time this season she's allowed seven goals or fewer. Tvedt has stopped at least 60 percent of the shots sent her way in five games, improving her overall save percentage to .485 on the season and dropping her goals against average to an impressive 7.42. In front of her, D'Orazio tallied a pair of caused turnovers, as did senior Kendall Garden. Garden also scored two goals and corralled three groundballs and a draw control. The Mountain Hawks held Colgate leading scorer Isabel Kreitler, who entered the game with 46 points, to just a single goal. Lehigh's win came over a Raiders' squad that had won five straight games as the Mountain Hawks avenged a 10-8 regular-season loss to Colgate just 10 days earlier.

The win marked the Mountain Hawks' 10th straight at home to extend their school record in the Patriot League era. It was Lehigh's first Patriot League Tournament victory since a home win over Holy Cross during the 2010 semifinals. The Mountain Hawks also snapped a six-game losing streak to Colgate with the victory. It was Lehigh's largest margin of victory over Colgate since a 15-8 win in 1996.

Friday is a rematch of a thrilling game on Saturday, Apr. 16. Lehigh scored the final five goals of regulation, over the last 11:38 to pull even before the Greyhounds corralled the opening draw of overtime and scored to keep their perfect all-time Patriot League record alive. Prior to that game, Loyola's closest margin against a Patriot League team since joining the league in 2014 was three goals.

Loyola is 12-5 on the season and posted a perfect 9-0 record in Patriot League play. Loyola owns some impressive wins this season, highlighted by Johns Hopkins and Virginia. After beginning the season 1-4, the Greyhounds have won 11 of their last 12 games overall. Maddy Blakeman leads Loyola in scoring with 55 points behind 35 goals and 20 assists. Hannah Powers has tallied 48 points (30 goals, 18 assists) and Sabrina Tabasso owns 39 (21 goals, 18 assists). In total, four players own 35 or more points while eight have tallied double-figure points. Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year Maddy Lesher leads the team, and league, with 54 groundballs and 45 caused turnovers while Tabasso leads the team with 53 draw controls. Molly Wolf has started all 17 games in goal, posting an 8.20 goals against average and .527 save percentage.

Loyola has beaten Lehigh six straight times to take an 8-5 lead in the all-time series. Lehigh used a three-game winning streak from 1984-88 to take a 5-2 advantage, but Loyola won in 1989, 1990 and 1991. The teams didn't play again until the 2014 season when the Greyhounds joined the Patriot League. Just a few weeks ago, Lehigh scored the final five goals of regulation, over the final 11:38, to force overtime, but Loyola prevailed in the extra session. The teams first met in 1982, a 5-4 Loyola win. Lehigh's first win also came in 1982 by an 8-2 final.

If the Mountain Hawks win on Friday, they would advance to their first Patriot League Championship Game since 2010 and face second-seeded Navy or third-seeded Boston University on Sunday at 12 p.m.
