Lehigh set to take on defending champ Boston University Sunday

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh women's tennis team will travel to West Point, N.Y. to face defending Patriot League Champion Boston University Sunday at 2 p.m. in a big league match.
The Mountain Hawks will be looking to bounce back from a tough 7-0 loss at Bucknell Wednesday. The Bison claimed the doubles point and followed with all six singles victories, four of which were tight three-set battles as Lehigh fell to 8-6 overall and 3-2 in Patriot League action. Prior to the match against Bucknell, Lehigh had claimed league wins over Loyola (6-1), Lafayette (7-0) and Colgate (7-0).
Junior Cassidy Cruz and sophomore Briana Maravich have gone 4-1 in Patriot League singles action, while junior Jamie Campisi, sophomores Christina Auyeung and Kirstin Godau and freshman Grace Lin are all 3-2. Cruz and Lin are 4-1 in doubles play against league opponents.
Boston University carries a 7-7 overall record and 2-0 mark in league action into Sunday's 2 p.m. match. The Terriers claimed 7-0 wins over Navy and Holy Cross to open Patriot League play. BU will face Army Saturday before taking on Lehigh Sunday. The Terriers claimed a 6-1 win over UConn in their most recent action on March 24.
The Terriers earned a 4-1 win over Lehigh in last season's meeting on April 10, 2015 in West Point, N.Y. Boston University won the doubles point convincingly, but Lehigh battled in singles play as four of the six matches went to three sets. Godau won a three-set match at No. 5 singles for Lehigh's lone point.
Following Sunday's neutral site match, Lehigh will return home to host Army Thursday at 4 p.m. before traveling to Holy Cross next weekend for the Mountain Hawks' final regular-season match.
