BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Riding three straight victories and wins in 10 of its last 11 games, the Lehigh women's lacrosse team heads to Baltimore on Saturday to face first-place Loyola. Opening draw is set for 3 p.m. Loyola stands 5-0 in league play while Lehigh is 4-1 as both teams look to work closer to a top seed in the Patriot League Tournament.

The Greyhounds are currently in first place while Lehigh and Bucknell are just one game behind, each at 4-1. The Mountain Hawks are coming off of a 14-6 home victory against Army West Point on Senior Day Sunday. Lehigh went up 4-0, but the Black Knights pulled within 5-4 late in the first half. The Mountain Hawks responded by scoring nine of the game's final 11 goals to erase any doubt.

Junior Allison LaBeau recorded seven points to lead the offense (three goals, four assists), her third game this season with seven or more points. She is now up to a team and Patriot League leading 57 points on the season (31 goals, 26 assists). Her goal total is tied for second in the league while she's tied for first in assists.

Classmate Lauren Beausoleil enjoyed a career game on Sunday with career highs in groundballs (5) and caused turnovers (6), the most caused turnovers by a Lehigh player in more than seven years. The last Mountain Hawk to cause at least six turnovers was former All-American Lauren Dykstra, who had six at Drexel on Mar. 30, 2009. With the win, Lehigh improved to 10-2 on the season, the program's best record after 12 games since 1985. Lehigh began that season 11-2.

The Mountain Hawks' defense continued its especially strong play against Army, allowing six goals or fewer for a third straight game and ninth time in 12 games this season. Lehigh stands atop the Patriot League in goals against average (7.17) while Loyola is second (8.12).

The Greyhounds are 8-5 overall this season and 5-0 in the Patriot League. Like the Mountain Hawks, their last game also ended in a home victory, beating the Holy Cross Crusaders 15-5. Loyola's leading goal scorer, Maddy Blakeman, had five points on two goals and three assists to up her season point total to 38 (24 goals, 14 assists). Hannah Powers also owns 38 points (21 goals, 17 assists), Sabrina Tabasso has 28 (17 goals, 11 assists) and Frankie Kamely has 27 (23 goals, four assists). Maddy Lesher leads the defense with 47 groundballs and 36 caused turnovers while Tabasso has corralled a team-leading 35 draw controls. Molly Wolf has started all 13 games in goal, owning an 8.42 GAA and .505 save percentage. Loyola has played a tough schedule, posting wins over Johns Hopkins and Virginia while its losses have come at the hands of Florida, Syracuse, Towson, Penn State and Princeton.

Loyola has won both meetings with the Mountain Hawks since joining the Patriot League to take a 7-5 lead in the all-time series. The teams first met in 1982, a 5-4 Loyola win. Lehigh's first win also came in 1982 by an 8-2 final. Lehigh last defeated Loyola in 1988, 11-5.

Following Saturday's game, the Mountain Hawks return home next Wednesday to host archrival Lafayette at 7 p.m.
