Lehigh hosts Army Thursday, travels to Holy Cross Saturday to close out regular season

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh women's tennis team is set for its final two matches of the regular season when the Mountain Hawks host Army Thursday at 4 p.m. at the Ulrich Varsity Courts before heading up to Holy Cross Saturday for a 3:30 p.m. match.
The Mountain Hawks will be looking to snap a two-match losing streak when Army comes to Bethlehem Thursday. Lehigh has dropped its last two matches by 7-0 scores to Bucknell and Boston University, both of which were away from home. The Mountain Hawks are 8-7 overall and 3-3 against Patriot League foes this season. Junior Cassidy Cruz and sophomore Briana Maravich are both 4-2 in Patriot League singles action this season, while every other Mountain Hawk in the singles lineup has gone 3-3. Cruz and freshman Grace Lin are 4-2 in doubles matches against league opponents.
Army carries an 18-5 overall record and 4-1 mark in league action into Thursday's 4 p.m. match at the Ulrich Varsity Courts. The Black Knights have earned Patriot League wins over Holy Cross (5-0), Lafayette (7-0), Navy (6-1) and Bucknell (5-2) this season, while dropping a 7-0 match to Boston University. Army earned a 5-2 win over Lehigh in last season's meeting on April 18, 2015 in West Point, N.Y. Current sophomore Christina Auyeung won both her singles and doubles matches to lead the Mountain Hawks.
Holy Cross is 3-5 overall this spring and 0-4 in Patriot League play. The Crusaders will play Wheaton Friday before hosting Lehigh at 3:30 p.m. Saturday. Holy Cross has dropped league matches to Boston University (7-0), Colgate (6-1), Army (5-0) and Lafayette (4-3) so far this season. The Mountain Hawks and Crusaders will be meeting for the first time since the 2013 season when Lehigh earned a 7-0 win over Holy Cross.
Next up, Lehigh will begin preparations for the Patriot League Tournament that is set for April 21-24 in Annapolis, Md.
