
Lehigh welcomes Stony Brook Friday

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh women's tennis team looks to earn its second-straight win Friday when the Mountain Hawks host Stony Brook inside the Lewis Tennis Center. The contest is slated to begin at 1 p.m.
The Mountain Hawks are 1-2 this season. Lehigh fell 5-2 to both Delaware and Drexel before bouncing back with a 7-0 win over Saint Francis (Pa.) last Sunday. Lehigh won all three doubles matches and six singles matches against the Red Flash.
Freshman Grace Lin has accumulated a 3-0 singles and 2-1 doubles record to lead Lehigh so far this season. Junior Jamie Campisi and sophomore Briana Maravich are both 2-1 in singles action.
Stony Brook lost a 5-2 battle to UConn in its season opener on Feb. 6. The Seawolves won the doubles point and got a singles victory at the top flight from Elizabeth Tsvetkov, but UConn rallied to win the final five singles matches.
Stony Brook earned a 6-1 victory over the Mountain Hawks in last season's meeting on Feb. 15 inside the Lewis Tennis Center. Current junior Cassidy Cruz earned Lehigh's points with a win at No. 3 singles.
Following Friday's match, Lehigh will remain home to host Mount St. Mary's next Sunday, Feb. 21.
