BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Coming off a 9-7 match play victory over Lafayette on Tuesday, the Lehigh men's golf team will conclude its fall season this weekend as the Mountain Hawks host the Lehigh Invitational, Friday and Saturday on the Grace Course at Saucon Valley Country Club.

Saucon Valley Country Club, founded in 1920, has grown from 18 holes and a clubhouse to become one of the largest private clubs in North America. It encompasses 800 acres and consists of four courses, including the Weyhill Course, Old Course, Grace Course and Short Course. The Grace Course opened with nine holes in the fall of 1953 with the second nine opened for play in 1958. Named for Eugene Gifford Grace (Lehigh Class of 1899), longtime president and chairman of Bethlehem Steel, the Grace Course measures 7,051 yards from the championship tees and features greens nearly twice the size of those on the Old Course but without the severe contours.

The Lehigh Invitational will be the fifth and final event of Lehigh's fall season. On Tuesday, the Mountain Hawks broke a 4-4 deadlock with Lafayette by winning five of eight singles matches. Freshmen Owen Quinn and Ryan Kelly were undefeated on the day, while sophomore Johnny Hsu won the final singles match to clinch the cup.

Lehigh's last tournament appearance was at the Matthews Auto Collegiate Invitational, hosted by Binghamton, Oct. 2-3 in Apalachin, N.Y. Quinn captured medalist honors with a final round 66, finishing at nine under par 135. The Mountain Hawks finished eighth in a 16-team field.

Last year, the Mountain Hawks finished second out of 12 teams at the Lehigh Invitational, as Bucknell ran away with the team title. Hsu led Lehigh by tying for fifth place at eight over par 152.

Along with Lehigh, the 12-team field will feature Bucknell, Fordham, Hofstra, Iona, Lafayette, Manhattan, Monmouth, Rider, Siena, St. John's and St. Peter's.

The Lehigh Invitational will tee off Friday at 9:30 a.m. with the first 18 holes from the Grace Course at Saucon Valley Country Club. The tournament will conclude on Saturday with the final 18 holes beginning at 8:30 a.m. Lehigh's five-player scoring team will be playing in the first five groups off of hole No. 1 on Friday. The Mountain Hawks will play with Rider and Bucknell.
