Mountain Hawks to host Howard Segal ‘64 Memorial Alumni Game April 25th

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh men's and women's soccer teams will host their first-ever Howard Segal '64 Memorial Alumni Game Saturday April 25th. Segal, a Lehigh men's soccer alumnus and long-time supporter of the program, passed away on February 27, 2014 and the event has been named in his honor. Lehigh soccer alumni who would like to attend are encouraged to register HERE.
Segal passed away at 71 years of age. Howard is the beloved husband of Ronnee Segal, the loving father of Jeffrey Segal and Stephanie Hartman, the stepfather of Julie Gerstenblatt and Greg Medow. Howard was also the brother of Elinor Hirsch and the late Norman Segal. Howard was the adoring grandfather of Ethan, Jaime, Andrew, Zoe, Boden and Knox. He was an honorable attorney and a proud graduate of Lehigh University. He touched many lives and will be missed by all.
Segal captained the Lehigh soccer team during his undergraduate career. Howard was also the Lehigh Soccer Partnership Alumni Ambassador and he cared very passionately about the program. Lehigh had such a strong impact on Segal's life that some of the final words spoken at his funeral were about the Lehigh Soccer Program.
Segal loved the Lehigh soccer program and his contributions as an alumni and as the Men's Soccer Ambassador were significant over the years. His favorite event was the annual alumni soccer game where he was always the first to arrive and the last to leave the locker room.
His widow, Ronnee Segal, as well as members of his family, will be in attendance welcome all participants and to honor Howard.
The games will be held at the Ulrich Sports Complex and the women will kickoff at 1 p.m. followed by a 3 p.m. kickoff for the men. Dinner and cocktails will then be served in the Gander Room (above the Goose) from 5:30-8:00 p.m.
