Total team effort leads Lehigh to 7-0 shutout of Moravian

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Behind a total team effort that saw all 11 players contribute, the Lehigh women's tennis team blanked crosstown foe Moravian 7-0 Wednesday evening inside the Lewis Tennis Center.
The Mountain Hawks swept all three doubles matches, dropping just four combined games and then won all six singles matches, losing just eight games along the way, to improve to 7-6 on the season.
Head coach Wouter Hendrix juggled his doubles lineup to allow several backups an opportunity to play before Lehigh's normal singles lineup took care of singles.
Freshman Kirstin Godau was the only Mountain Hawk to play both singles and doubles, teaming with classmate Abby Duddy for an 8-1 win over Brittney Eady and Roberta Scantlebury at the top doubles flight.
At No. 2 doubles, sophomore Jessica Graham and junior Ali Kaminetsky clinched the doubles point with an 8-1 win over Skylar Oliwa and Sophia Osbourne. Lehigh completed the doubles sweep as sophomore Nina Larraza and junior Marian Prim won 8-2 at the third flight.
In singles play, freshman Briana Maravich won 6-0, 6-0 over Courtnie Lambert at the No. 4 flight and sophomore Jamie Campisi followed with a 6-1, 6-0 win over Oliwa at the No. 3 flight.
Sophomore Cassidy Cruz clinched the match for Lehigh with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Osbourne at No. 2 singles, while freshman Christina Auyeung continued her recent winning ways with a win over Eady at the top flight.
Senior Abby Farrell helped complete the sweep with a 6-0, 6-1 win over Scantlebury at No. 6 singles.
The Mountain Hawks will be off for the next nine days and will return to action with a neutral site match against defending league champion Boston University at West Point, N.Y. on April 10. Lehigh will visit another Patriot League rival in Colgate the following day.
