BETHLEHEM, Pa. - After a resounding 15-6 victory over archrival Lafayette, the Leigh women's lacrosse team will return home to face the defending Patriot League champion Loyola Greyhounds on Saturday. Opening draw is set for 4 p.m. as the second game of a Lehigh men's and women's lacrosse doubleheader. Loyola is coming off three straight victories and is ranked #16 in the IWLCA National Poll.

The Mountain Hawks' victory over Lafayette saw them move to 3-4 overall and 1-1 in the league. Loyola is 2-0 in Patriot League play thanks to back-to back-victories over Lafayette and Bucknell. The Greyhounds have a 4-4 record overall.

Against Lafayette, Lehigh scored seven of the game's last eight goals in an emphatic 15-6 victory. A pair of sophomores led the offensive charge for Lehigh, as Lauren Beausoliel scored a career-high four goals, and Allison LaBeau added her third hat trick of the season. The 15 goals were a season high and the most since the Mountain Hawks tallied 18 against Howard in April of 2013.

An overall team effort against the Leopards saw junior Kendall Garden tally two goals, one assist, three groudballs and three caused turnovers. Beausoleil added a game-high five draw controls. Senior Kelly Scott scored her third-career goal and second in the last three games as her class improved to 3-1 in their careers against Lafayette.

Although they're a .500 team at the moment, the Greyhounds have played a very difficult schedule thus far. They've played the likes of Princeton, Florida, Johns Hopkins, Virginia and Penn State, all of whom are nationally ranked. Loyola notched impressive victories against Johns Hopkins and Virginia. Three different Greyhounds own 20+ points, led by Hannah Schmitt with 29 (team-leading 24 goals, five assists). Annie Thomas is second on the team with 28 points (11 goals, team-high 17 assists) while Kara Burke is third with 23 (17 goals, six assists). Taryn VanThof is fourth in points with 15 (eight goals, seven assists) while she leads the way in groundballs (18), draw controls (31) and caused turnovers (9). Molly Wolf has started all eight games in goal, owning a 9.22 GAA and .459 save percentage.

Last season's matchup between Lehigh and Loyola saw the Greyhounds defeat the Mountain Hawks, 12-4 to give them a 6-5 lead in the all-time series. Four different Lehigh players scored goals in that matchup. The teams played last season for the first time since 1991.

Following Saturday's game, the Mountain Hawks hit the road next week for three contests in five days. Lehigh travels to Bucknell on Tuesday (5 p.m.) before heading to Mount St. Mary's Thursday (4 p.m.) and Bryant Saturday (12 p.m.).
