Lehigh has successful showing at Bucknell Tune-Up

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Lehigh women's track and field team turned out several successful performances in its final meet before next weekend's Patriot League Championships as the Mountain Hawks claimed three first-place finishes at Friday's Bucknell Tune-Up.
Sophomores Courtney Avery and Brittany Le Jouan finished tied for first in the high jump after turning out leaps of 1.65 meters. The mark was a new personal best for Le Jouan, who also finished third in the triple jump with a mark of 10.80 meters. Senior Jonelle Jerwick pole vaulted 3.30 meters to finish tied for second in the event.
Freshman Hanna Brosky turned out a new personal-best time of 1:16.70 in the 500 meter dash to earn first place. Sophomore Katie Hatler earned first place in the 60 meter hurdles with a clip of 8.89 seconds.
Senior Victoria Mullane claimed second place after running the 800 meter race in 2:13.97, while senior Ingrid Simon took second in the 1,000 meter run (2:57.16). Sophomore Marissa Karl (5:07.89), freshman Hannah Leskow (5:11.51) and senior Shannon Wright (5:11.55) took third through fifth, respectively, in the mile run.
The Mountain Hawks will now turn their focus to preparing for next weekend's Patriot League Championships. The indoor league championship meet will take place from Feb. 20-22 at Navy.
