Moyar named Patriot League Male Swimmer of the Week

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - After a strong weekend against Loyola and NJIT, sophomore Jacob Moyar has been named Patriot League Male Swimmer of the Week for the second time this season, as announced on Monday. Moyar won four different individual events over the two days, while his 200 medley relay team also finished first on Sunday against NJIT.
Moyar began on Saturday against Loyola by winning the 1,000 freestyle with a time of 9:50.72, and 200 butterfly with a time of 1:55.47. He placed third in the 200 IM (1:58.19) and was part of the 400 medley relay team that finished third (3:13.85, including a 47.73 second split).
The success continued on Sunday vs. NJIT as Moyar again won the 1,000 freestyle (9:54.32) and 200 butterfly (1:54.94) while his 200 medley relay team came in first (1:37.99, 23.56 second split) and Moyar placed second in the 200 breaststroke (2:16.43).The 1,000 freestyle time was a new pool record while the 200 medley relay was a meet record. The meet took place at Montclair State University.
Moyar and the Mountain Hawks will return to action on Saturday when they travel to Bucknell to face the Bison. The meet will begin at 1 p.m.
