Patriot League Release

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Ten members of the Lehigh Baseball team secured spots on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, the league announced Thursday.

Freshman Jacen Nalesnik led the team with a 3.57 semester GPA in Lehigh's College of Arts and Sciences. Senior Joey McNamara followed with a strong GPA of 3.45 in his Political Science major. Joe Abeln, Tyler Brong and Mike Burke, Lehigh's three co-captains who are all Mechanical Engineering majors, also landed on the list as did 2014 Academic All-League member Mike Garzillo.

To be eligible for the Spring Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester and participate in one of the Patriot League's winter or spring championship sports.

The strong semester in the classroom builds upon Lehigh's successful 2014 campaign that saw the Mountain Hawks advance to the Patriot League Championship series.
