BETHLEHEM, Pa. - After handing Boston University its first-ever Patriot League loss on Saturday, the Lehigh women's lacrosse team returns to action on Wednesday when it travels to #20 Navy to face the Midshipmen. Opening draw is set for 6:30 p.m. and will air live nation-wide on CBS Sports Network. The Mountain Hawks look to ride the momentum from one of their biggest wins in recent memory when they face four-time defending league champion Navy.

Each team used a 6-0 run on Saturday in an exciting back and forth game. In the end, Lehigh handed the Terriers their first-ever Patriot League defeat and first home loss of the season, snapping their five-game winning streak overall. Leading 7-3 at one point, Boston University used a 6-0 run to take a 10-8 lead, but junior Carli Sukonik scored at 5:22 to make it 10-9 then she found senior Chelsea Retaleato who evened the score at 10 just over two minutes later. Senior goalie Alexandra Fitzpatrick made a big save as time expired in regulation to help force overtime where freshman Allison LaBeau scored twice - once in the first overtime and the game-winner in the sudden-victory second overtime - to send the Mountain Hawks home 12-11 winners.

Sukonik was recognized on Monday with Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week honors. Lehigh has now earned each of the four weekly awards at least once this season. Sukonik leads the team with 29 goals and 32 points this season. LaBeau has enjoyed a stellar freshman campaign, posting 22 goals and six assists.

Lehigh stands in fourth place in the Patriot League standings with its 3-2 league mark, one half game ahead of Holy Cross in fifth. The top six seeds make the Patriot League Tournament. The two top seeds receive a bye into the semifinals while the #3 hosts the #6 and #4 hosts #5 in first round games on Tuesday, Apr. 22. The winners round out the field of four as the Semifinals and Championship Game will take place at the overall #1 seed. Lehigh will clinch a Patriot League Tournament berth with a win on Wednesday, or losses by American and Bucknell.

Lehigh and Navy has developed into an impressive rivalry. The Mids lead the all-time series, 5-4, including wins in three straight games. The Mountain Hawks' last victory came in April of 2011, a 15-13 win in a game that was also televised nationally by CBS Sports Network. These two teams are first and second in the league in defense; Navy is first, allowing 5.62 goals per game while Lehigh is second allowing 8.42 per contest.

Navy is 12-1 on the season with its only loss coming to Boston University at home. The Midshipmen are led offensively by Loren Generi who has 71 points behind 39 goals and 32 assists. Aimee Gennaro is second with 38 points via 30 goals and eight assists while Katie Gallagher has 33 points (17 goals, 16 assists) and Jill Coughlin 31 (30 goals, one assist). Generi also leads the team with 81 draw controls and 26 groundballs, and is second in caused turnovers with 13. Molly Doyle owns a team-leading 14 caused turnovers to go with 20 groundballs. Annie Foky has started 11 games in goal, posting a 4.97 GAA and 44.0 save percentage while Cassidy Chaney has started two games, with a 9.00 GAA and 35.7 save percentage.

Navy holds a 5-4 lead in the all-time series. The Mountain Hawks won four of the first six meetings, but Navy has responded with three straight victories including 14-4 wins over the last two seasons.

The Mountain Hawks return home for their final two games of the regular season. Lehigh welcomes American on Sunday at 1 p.m. before hosting Holy Cross on Saturday (Apr. 19).
