BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Originally scheduled to make its home debut this weekend, the Lehigh baseball team will now play an away doubleheader at Coppin State's Bachman Park Sunday beginning at 1 p.m. The matchup was scheduled to be a three-game weekend series on the Goodman Campus Baseball Field, but has been relocated due to the remnants of winter weather that has affected Lehigh's field.

Lehigh is coming off a six-day spring break trip to Port Charlotte, Fla. where the Mountain Hawks finished 2-3 to move their overall record to 3-5. Lehigh picked up an 11-4 win over Maine and 5-4 victory against Western Michigan during the trip.

The Mountain Hawks are batting an impressive .301 so far this season, led by junior John Elson's .400 batting average. Elson is one of seven Lehigh players batting .300 or above as the Mountain Hawks have recorded ten or more hits in six of the season's eight games. Junior Connor Faust has a team-leading eight RBI, while sophomore Mike Garzillo's three extra-base hits is also a team best.

Sophomore Kevin Long picked up two wins on the mound during Lehigh's spring break trip and holds a 1.46 ERA in 12.1 innings pitched. Junior Nick Stephens and senior Mike Burke each have two starts apiece and hold ERAs of 3.60 and 4.82, respectively.

Coppin State will be searching for its first win of the season during Sunday's doubleheader as the Eagles carry an 0-6 record into the twinbill. Coppin State has struggled offensively, hitting just .154 as a team compared to its opponents' average of .289. Jack Kraft leads the Eagles with three RBI and a .300 batting average.

Sunday will be the Eagles' first game action in a week, as Coppin State dropped a 13-3 game to NJIT on March 2 in its most recent contest. CSU starter Yahya Muhammad allowed just two earned runs in 4.2 innings, but NJIT scored 10 runs off the Eagles' bullpen. David Hamlett drove in two of Coppin State's three runs.

Following Sunday's doubleheader, the Mountain Hawks are scheduled to face Muhlenberg Tuesday on the Goodman Campus baseball field at 3 p.m.
