Mountain Hawks 12th after opening round at Navy

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Lehigh men's golf team opened action at the Navy Spring Invitational with a round of 26 over par 310 Saturday at the Naval Academy Golf Club. The Mountain Hawks are tied for 12th place in the 21-team field but sit just 16 strokes behind the leaders.
Sophomore Carlos Kim led Lehigh on day one shooting four over par 75 as he sits in a tie for 16th place. Freshman Harley Abrams is one shot back at 76, good for a tie for 29th place, while senior Sean Keller shot 78 and is tied for 55th.
Juniors Alex DiClemente and Andrew Arnold were unable to break 80 on Saturday. DiClemente shot 81 and is tied for 80th place, while Arnold is in a tie for 96th following an 84.
Wake Forest's Evan Beck and Virginia's Mac McLaughlin shot one under par 70 to take a one-stroke lead over Scott Vincent of Virginia Tech and Zeke Shaffer of Navy.
Navy's Blue team and Virginia shot ten over par 294 to lead the team standings after one day. Virginia Tech and Wake Forest are tied for third two strokes back, while Penn is in fifth four shots off the pace.
The Navy Spring Invitational concludes Sunday with the final 18 holes from the Naval Academy Golf Club.
