Lehigh completes day one of Princeton Open

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh men's swimming and diving team returned to the pool Friday night with the first day of competition at the unscored Princeton Open at DeNunzio Pool. The Mountain Hawks competed against Princeton and Fordham in six events in their first action in nearly two weeks.
Leading the way for the Mountain Hawks was the 200 yard free relay team which claimed first place with a time of 1:24.72. Lehigh was represented by seniors Chris Hoke and Matt Chrzanowski, freshman Justin White and junior Martin Kendig.
Hoke also led Lehigh in the 50 free, finishing fifth against a tough field with a time of 21.31 seconds. White finished seventh while Kending took 11th place.
Freshman Jacob Moyar finished fourth in the 500 free leading three Mountain Hawks who finished in the top 11. Moyar posted a time of 4:39.44 while juniors Danny Bennett and Jake Greene finished eighth and 11th respectively.
Greene led Lehigh in the 200 IM with a time of 1:57.31 while junior Sean Brant finished 14th.
Lehigh's 400 medley relay team of Brant, Moyar, White and freshman Kevin Huntley finished seventh in a time of 3:34.38.
On the diving boards, junior Dan Bateman finished fifth out of seven divers in the one meter with a score of 222.85 points.
The Princeton open concludes Saturday at 9 a.m. from Princeton's DeNunzio Pool.
