Lehigh-Lafayette doubles highlights upcoming Patriot League Kickoff

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh women's tennis team returns to the court Friday afternoon as the Mountain Hawks welcome Patriot League opponents Army, Colgate and Lafayette for the Patriot League Kickoff 2013.
The Mountain Hawks will face all three league foes in singles and doubles matches over the three-day event beginning with a doubles showdown against the rival Leopards Friday at 5 p.m.
Lehigh's last action came three weeks ago at the Lehigh fall invitational as the Mountain Hawks overcame a rough start to finish strong. Junior Abby Farrell and sophomore Ali Kaminetsky posted a win at the second doubles flight against Bucknell, while freshmen Nina Larraza and Jess Graham posted a win at the fourth flight against the Bison.
On the last day of competition Lehigh posted victories in five of eight singles matches against new Patriot League member Loyola. Senior Jenai Bilimora posted a straight set win at the top flight, while Farrell, Graham, freshman Cassidy Cruz and sophomore Marian Prim also posted singles wins against the Greyhounds.
Lehigh will begin competition this weekend on Friday afternoon at 5 p.m. where they will be playing doubles against Lafayette.
On Saturday, Lehigh will play singles against Colgate at 11:30 a.m. and then will face Army in doubles and singles.
Sunday's final day of completion will begin with Lehigh playing Lafayette in singles at 11:30 a.m. while the Mountain Hawks will finish out the weekend playing doubles against Colgate.
The Patriot League Kickoff will conclude Lehigh's fall season, as the Mountain Hawks will shift focus to winter training in preparation for the 2014 spring season.
