BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Lehigh women's lacrosse senior Leigh Ann Torcivia has been selected for the prestigious IWLCA North-South Game set for Saturday, June 16, which features the nation's top senior student-athletes. Torcivia will suit up for the North at the Champions' Cup, held at the United Sports Training Center in Downingtown, Pa. This marks the second straight season the Mountain Hawks have been represented as Lauren Dykstra earned Game MVP honors a year ago.

Torcivia is one of only three Patriot Leaguers chosen for the game, along with Courtney Miller of Colgate and Kiersten King of Navy. In total, 115 senior student-athletes were selected across Divisions I, II and III, 36 for Division I (18 on the North and 18 on the South). The Division I game is set for noon, Division II at 1:00 and Division III at 2:00. The event will precede the IWLCA All-American banquet, which will take place at the Radisson Valley Forge in King of Prussia, Pa. later that evening.

“This is tremendous recognition for Lehigh Ann and our program,” said Lehigh head coach Jill Redfern. “We are proud to have her representing Lehigh in such a prestigious game.”
Dykstra netted a hat trick in last season's game to earn MVP honors. For the recap of Dykstra's experience, including video, please click here.

Torcivia enjoyed a stellar career, earning All-League honors each of her four years while garnering All-Region laurels as a junior as well. The team co-captain transitioned from defense to midfield this season and impressed on both ends of the field. Along with her 44 points, she also posted a team-leading 36 groundballs and 17 caused turnovers while finishing second with 37 draw controls. Torcivia finished her career with 50 points (44 this season), 163 groundballs, 159 draw controls and 58 caused turnovers. Strong in the classroom, she garnered Academic All-Patriot League distinction as well.
