BETHLEHEM, Pa.- The Lehigh women's lacrosse team will look to extend its current two game-winning streak at Fairfield Wednesday. Opening draw set for 3:30 pm. The Mountain Hawks have won two in a row with wins coming against Binghamton and Bucknell, scoring 17 goals in both contests.
Lehigh (4-4, 1-1 Patriot League) picked up its first league win against Bucknell Saturday. Five Mountain Hawks scored multiple goals with senior Leigh Ann Torcivia leading the way with seven points. It was a strong all-around game for Torcivia as she also registered four goals, three assists and four groundballs. Torcivia has enjoyed an excellent season thus far, standing second on the team in goals (13) and points (22) while leading the team in assists (9). Torcivia has already eclipsed her career highs in goals, points and assists.
Wednesday will be extra special for Lehigh assistant coach Lauren Chatnik, who was a star goalie at Fairfield.

Freshman and reining Patriot League Rookie of the Week Carli Sukonik added to her solid season totals against Bucknell. In scoring four goals, the Pennsylvania native extended her team lead in that category while also leading in points (23), shots (31) and shots on goal (35).
Sukonik and Torcivia headline a list of Mountain Hawks who have scored at least 10 goals this season. Junior Julie McBrien (11), senior Kelly Draper (11) and senior Lauren Murray (10) are the others. All have played a huge role in the team's impressive 10.25 goals per game average. Draper is among the team leaders despite starting only one game. The senior has found a knack for getting shots as she's tied for second on the team in shot percentage (.500) and fourth in total shots (22).
Junior goalkeeper MaryLeah DiNisco has been solid during the team's current win streak. In playing all 60 minutes of both games, DiNisco has registered an average of more than eight saves per game. Her efforts were key in holding Bucknell to nine goals.
Fairfield comes into the game with a 4-2 record after beating New Hampshire, 8-3, in its last outing. The Stags have scored at least 10 goals in five of their outings this season. Fairfield defeated Lehigh in a close game last year, 13-12. The Stags have won three of the last four meetings between the teams with Lehigh's last win coming in 2010.
The Stags average 11.33 goals per game. Three players have registered at least 11 goals this season and Addie Reilly leads the team with 20. Reilly also leads the team in almost every shot category, including total shots (32) and shot percentage (.625).
Fairfield's calling card is its defense led by goalkeeper Katie Keenan who has registered 47 of the team's 52 saves. Keenan has won two MAAC defensive weekly awards. Keenan's stamina is also impressive as she's played in 320 of the team's 360 minutes of game play this season.
After Wednesday, Lehigh will play its third Patriot League game of the season when it hosts Lafayette Saturday night.
