Mountain Hawks place 11 on PL Academic Honor Roll

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Eleven members of Lehigh's women's swimming and diving program were named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll announced Wednesday. The Mountain Hawks put forth a strong academic showing in a season in which Lehigh went 4-4 in dual meets and finished sixth at the Patriot League Championships.
To be eligible for the honor roll, the athlete must have a 3.20 or higher grade-point average during the academic semester which coincides with his or her sport.
The women were led by senior Industrial Engineering major Taylor Foxworth, who was one of five Patriot League women's swimmers and divers to earn a 4.0 GPA in the spring. Foxworth is a multiyear Dean's List member and was recognized as Lehigh's most improved female swimmer for this past season. She was closely followed by juniors Alyssa Siano and Paola Simon who both posted 3.94 GPAs. Siano majors in business information systems while Simon is a finance major. Also named to the honor roll were seniors Kristen Keenan and Allison Montanye, juniors Lauren Armstrong, Alena Pollitt and Jill Rann, sophomores Emily DiDonato and Daniela Sonderegger and freshman Meredith Bayer.
A total of 107 student-athletes were named to the Academic Honor Roll, led by Navy's Laura Gorinski, who was voted Scholar-Athlete of the Year for women's swimming and diving back in February.
