Lehigh enjoys solid day at Lehigh Valley Invite

ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Sophomore Doug Marcincin shot a 72 and placed second in the Lehigh Valley Invitational on Tuesday as Lehigh tuned up for the upcoming Patriot League championship with a second place team finish.  The Mountain Hawks shot a 298 to finish three strokes behind Lafayette, while Moravian (313) and Muhlenberg (330) rounded out the team standings.  In addition to Marcincin two other Mountain Hawks posted top-five finishes as Tim Rosenhouse tied for third place with a 73 and Sean Keller shot a 75 to tie for fifth place.

 

Other Mountain Hawks that competed included Dwight D’Iorio who shot a 78 and tied for 12th place and Dylan Evans who tied for 14th after shooting a 79.  Mike Beddow competed as an individual and he shot a 78.

 

Rob Robertson of Lafayette was the top individual after shooting a 69, while Marcincin placed second and Rosenhouse and Tyler Ostrovsky of Lafayette tied for third place.

Lehigh returns to action on Saturday when the Mountain Hawks travel to Hamilton, New York to compete at the 2010 Patriot League championship.
