GREENVILLE, N.C. – Starting a day early to avoid potential inclement weather Monday afternoon, the Lehigh men's golf team shot 304 Sunday in round one of the ECU Intercollegiate at Brook Valley Country Club. Senior Jake Roth and first-year Ryan Cronin led the way for the Mountain Hawks, who sit in 11th place out of 15 teams following the opening round of play.

Roth and Cronin are both tied for 21st place after shooting two over par 74. Roth carded five birdies Sunday, while Cronin made four.

First-year Drew Golden shot five over par 77 with two birdies and is tied for 48th place, while junior Matthew Quinn shot 79 with one birdie and is tied for 60th place.

Sophomore Noah Zyung shot 87 with one birdie and sits in a tie for 82nd place.

Lehigh's individual, senior Will Caronchi, is tied for 79th after shooting 85. Caronchi did make one eagle and one birdie in Sunday's round.

UNC Wilmington shot two under par 286 and leads host East Carolina by six strokes.

Philip Bondestad of East Carolina is the individual lead at four under par 68.

The ECU Intercollegiate continues Monday with round two.
