Mountain Hawks 10th After Day One of Savannah Intercollegiate

SAVANNAH, Ga. – Lehigh men's golf opened its spring season Saturday with the opening two rounds of the Savannah Intercollegiate at the Club at Savannah Harbor. The Mountain Hawks shot 298 in their first round of the spring and are eight over par as a team in round two. Play was suspended due to darkness Saturday evening with play set to resume Sunday morning prior to the final round.

The Mountain Hawks currently sit in 10th place out of 18 teams.

First-year Ryan Cronin led the Mountain Hawks Saturday. Cronin is one over par through 35 holes, opening with a 72 and is tied for 14th place. He made three birdies in round one and added one in round two.

Senior Jake Roth is tied for 30th place at four over par. Roth shot 75 with three birdies in round one and is one over through 16 holes with five more birdies in his second round.

Junior Matthew Quinn is six over par and tied for 43rd place. Quinn carded one birdie in his opening round 77 and is one over through 16 holes with two birdies.

Sophomore Noah Zyung shot 74 in the morning and is five over par through 17 holes in round two. Zyung made four birdies in round one, added two in round two, and is tied for 50th place.

Fjrst-year Drew Golden is 14 over and tied for 90th place. Golden shot 80 with two birdies in the morning and has completed 15 holes in his second round.

Queens University leads the field at five over par, with the Royals leading Creighton by one stroke and Purdue Fort Wayne by three shots.

Bradley's Carter Stevenson holds the individual lead at four under par 140, with 36 holes completed. He leads Justin Hicks of Purdue Fort Wayne by one stroke.

The Savannah Intercollegiate concludes Sunday with the completion of round two followed by the final round, beginning at 8 a.m.
