Lehigh returns home for the first time in nearly a month as the Mountain Hawks ring in 2008 against the Stanford Cardinal Friday night inside Leeman-Turner Arena at Grace Hall. The Mountain Hawks are looking to bounce back from an 0-3 showing at the Wolverine Quad last weekend, which has left the Brown and White with its second four-dual losing streak of the season. There were some bright spots however, as middleweights Trevor Chinn, Dave Nakasone and Mike Galante combined to go 7-2 last weekend. Lehigh will welcome back old friend and former volunteer assistant coach Kerry McCoy, who brings in his Stanford team that has a pair of returning All-Americans on its roster.
One of the bright spots from Lehigh’s 0-3 showing at the Wolverine Quad was the performance of senior Dave Nakasone, who won all three of his bouts at 157. Nakasone’s effort was highlighted by a 4-3 triumph over
With a 2-1 showing at 149 at the Wolverine Quad, junior Trevor Chinn maintains the team lead for victories with 12 this season. Chinn also provided the only bonus points for Lehigh on the day with a major decision over Drew Lesko. He is tied with sophomore Mike Galante for the team lead with eight dual wins, while Galante has an edge in dual points (31-27) and falls (2-0).
