In 2006-07: Began season as starter at 165 before academic issues prematurely ended season… won eight of 13 bouts with three bonus wins… went 6-0 to win title at 79 kg at University Freestyle Nationals in April… placed fourth at Northeast Regional Freestyle Championships… went 7-2 at prestigious Canada Cup freestyle event, to earn fourth place.
In 2005-06: deferred eligibility…went 3-2 competing in the CNJ and Edinboro Opens… placed second at 163 lb. weight class at the FILA junior national freestyle championships…outscored his first four opponents in the tournament by a combined 46-1 score.
In Secondary School: Posted an 81-15 career record at
Personal: Son of Tony and Janet Galante… brother Joe (23)… enjoys golf in his spare time and has two career hole-in-ones on the golf course.
