St. Louis, MO - The seedings and broadcast times are out for the NCAA Championships, and Lehigh's wrestlers have their work cut out for them. The Mountain Hawks, ranked No. 8 coming into the NCAA's, are looking to place in the top ten for the third straight year, coming off their fourth place finish from last season.
At 125, Mario Stuart received a bye into the second round, where he will face No. 4 Tom Clum of Wisconsin. Stuart faced Clum earlier this season at the Virginia Duals, losing 8-3. Matt Ciasulli will take on David Hoffman of Virginia Tech in the first round, with No. 5 Zach Roberson waiting in the wings at 133. Roberson took out Ciasulli the first match of the year, winning by a 13-2 major decision.
Cory Cooperman will be the 9th seed at 141, as he faces Michael Martin from Illinois in the first round. Matt Anderson received a bye at 149, and will face Jeff Ecklof from Oklahoma, the No. 10 seed, in the second round.
Derek Zinck takes the No. 11 seed at 157, looking to repeat his All-American performance from 2003. He faces Dan Thompson of The Citadel in the first round. Troy Letters will attempt to repeat his finals performance and showdown with Tyrone Lewis of Oklahoma State at 165. Letters is the No. 2 seed, and will face Clarion's Jeremy Reitz in the second round after a first round bye.
After an All-American performance last year, 174-pounder Brad Dillon will begin his quest for a potential national title as a No. 3 seed, and takes on Frances Iorfido from Pittsburgh in the first round. Dillon beat Iorfido 18-9 in a major decision in Lehigh's defeat of the Panthers earlier this year.
Fresh off his EIWA title at 184, Travis Frick will be the No. 10 seed and will take on Ed Magrys of Eastern Michigan in the second round, rounding out the qualifiers for the Mountain Hawks.
