BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh senior men’s basketball standout Marquis Hall is gearing up for the trip of a lifetime. Hall is being sent to Indianapolis this weekend to take in all the fun and festivities surrounding the 2010 NCAA Final Four. As one of only ten national finalists up for the Lowe’s Senior CLASS Award Hall will meet up with several of his fellow finalists and take part in a number of events throughout the city of Indy beginning on Friday, April 2. Hall will fly to Indianapolis on Thursday evening and settle in for an exciting weekend of basketball related activities set on the game’s biggest stage.
After arriving in Indy on Thursday evening Hall will head to the Lowe’s HERO Build community service project on Friday morning where he will help hand out box lunches and meet Lowe’s associates from across the country. Following lunch Hall and his fellow finalists will make their way into Lucas Oil Stadium, the site of this year’s Final Four, as they are introduced to the fans in attendance during the open practice sessions. Legendary sports broadcaster Dick Enberg will also be involved with the presentation. Later that evening Hall will have the opportunity to take in the Reese’s College All-Star Game at Lucas Oil Stadium, which one of the finalists, Northern Iowa’s Adam Koch will be playing in.
On Saturday morning, Hall will mingle with Lowe’s regional managers from across the country while Enberg delivers a speech to the group. Following that Hall will have the rest of the day to tour the city of Indianapolis before making his way back inside Lucas Oil Stadium for the main event, the 2010 Final Four. This year’s teams include local favorite Butler, as well as Michigan State, West Virginia and Duke.
Hall’s memorable trip will wrap up on Sunday when he and the other finalists sign autographs and pose for photographs with nearly 3,000 local children before embarking on the Dribble to Bracket Town event. This event will involve the finalists and local children who will each dribble a basketball from the NCAA Hall of Champions to Bracket Town. The event is sponsored by the Lowe’s Senior CLASS Award.
In addition to his scheduled activities, Hall will be afforded the chance to tour the town of Indianapolis and take in the sights and sounds of everything surrounding the 2010 Final Four.
