Lehigh opens season at Fifth Third Classic in West Virginia

Lehigh takes to the hardwood for the first time in 2004-05 as the Mountain Hawks compete in the Fifth Third MU Classic hosted by Lehigh is led by the play of senior Jessica DePalo. The Patriot League’s leading scorer and the team’s leading rebounder a season ago, DePalo was named the league’s co-Preseason Player of the Year along with Colgate’s Emily Braseth. The Mountain Hawks also welcome back senior captain Carli Toliver, who led the team in three point field goals two seasons ago, but missed last year with an ankle injury. Lehigh squares off with UNC-Asheville in the opening round, in the first-ever meeting between these two schools. On Saturday, Lehigh will face either Marshall, a winner over Lehigh a season ago, or UTPA, also a first-time opponent. Friday’s action tips off at 5:00, with radio coverage getting underway at 4:45. Saturday’s showdown will take place at either 11:00 am or 1:00 pm, with live coverage of both games on WLVR-FM and lehighsports.com.
